How do we begin?

Typically, we begin by discussing with you the project scope (level of detail, size, complexity, schedule, and style).  A review of architectural or construction drawings, or even a site visit is made, and then a quote is given to you.

What information is required?

Our illustrations are usually created using CAD drawings, elevation prints, photographs, or site/landscape plans.  Additionally, color and texture samples and digital images may be used to tailor the rendering to your design.

What is the process?

Generally, when the drawing is nearly complete, we will provide you  an image for review and comments via email, FTP, or print-outs. More frequent updates and reviews can be made if necessary. All changes are made accordingly before final delivery.

If a 3D model is created, we can develop several views for your selection before completing the rendering with appropriate textures, landscaping, lighting, backgrounds, people, vehicles, and other elements as desired.

Can we see the work at different stages?

Preliminary renderings, which can be hand-delivered, faxed, e-mailed, or via FTP downloads, are produced for your review. There is no additional charge for these progress viewings.

How long does it take?

Depending on scope and complexity, 3D models can typically be completed in from 2 days (single house) to 2 weeks (commercial building). For high volume residential projects, it actually requires less time to finish each home.  Site plans and elevations can usually be completed in 2 to 4 days. Rush services are also available.

Do you work remotely?

Although we still meet with our local clients and even travel on some distant projects, we typically communicate with emails, telephone calls, and faxes so that the entire illustration process can be done remotely.   Technology has allowed us to provide immediate communication and real time updates to our customers.  You can also easily download your digital images from our FTP site.

We have found that these methods sufficiently meeting all of our customers' needs from coast to coast in a convenient, cost-effective, reliable, and productive manner.

What format is the final product?

Upon completion, you are given the digital files via email or FTP download. Additionally, if prints are needed, they are delivered to the customer at an additional cost. We can also provide larger prints (13"x19") or boards (24"x36") if desired.

How much does it cost?

Rendering House provides high-quality architectural illustrations at reasonable prices.  Our prices are often less than fees of traditional watercolorist and 3D computer modelers. Each project is priced on an individual basis depending on the level of detail, style, scope, and volume.  We give free, no-obligation quotes, and can provide various illustration options based on your project scope and budget.  For examples, please see our Residential Price Page.
